Got in a two hour hunt before it rained. I went to a park that I tried detecting a few years ago when I had my first detector - an Ace 250. At that time I spent a morning at that park and found exactly one coin - a memorial Lincoln. Since I got my E-Trac, I figured there had to be something more at that part besides that lone memorial. So after lunch today I headed over to check out the park. I only dug two coins in two hours, but they were both worth it! The first coin was the 1899 Barber. This is only my second Barber, and my 2nd oldest silver coin. The second coin I found was the 1890 IH (BTW, that spot on her face is a drop of water.). Both coins were about 7 - 8"deep, and gave very iffy signals. The FE numbers were quite low, and I had to go to full-open quick mask to get a better signal (my coin program discriminates out anything below 27 FE). The IH wouldn't even pin-point, but gave a repeatable-enough signal that I dug it. Glad I did!
Needless to say, I'll be going back to that park!
Thanks for looking and HH,
