Barber in the hole!

April snow showers today and with a break in the weather just had to go out--decided on a spot where I have found some very old coins-- by ID standards. Ronstar was invited but decided to snuggle with his wood stove. Etrac with the Nel Tornado was the weapon of choice today. 3 minutes in-- bang, a silver ear/toe clip. Walking along, I'm digging iffy signals, which means digging alot of 20 penny nails, and got that sweet warble. It wasn't an iffy signal and it is a spot I've been over before, so I'm questioning how I missed it and am I imagining the signal is better than it is.

Short story short: this Philly Barber rang up 8 40 and was 9" deep. I was a tad let down, at first I thought it was a Seated, but I can't complain over an 1892 Barber. This is the second oldest coin I have ever saved, so I'm feeling pretty jazzed, especially that I rarely find silver on back to back days.

I looked up the coin and discovered if it was an S mintmark you were getting some change for that!!!! Still have the shot of whiskey when your ready. Lol.
I can believe he was out in that full blown horizontal blizzard we had yesterday......
