Battery question, please read

Bought a new 1800 mAh battery. Was told that I could just use the 1600 charger that came with the original battery. 30 hours of charging later and nothing. Not even a hint of my machine starting. Have I ruined the battery, is it just not charged, does your 1800 work with your 1600 charger. Please and thank you.

Chad

Sounds like you got a defective battery. Send it back and get the RnB battery, it's a better battery pack for the buck ($$$) and comes with it's own charger.

theres no way you ruined the battery. if the 1600 works with the charger and the 1800 doesnt, then id agree with the poster above, the 1800 will not charge and is defective. id be curious to check everything with a voltmeter. if you dont have one im sure you could borrow one from someone.

is there by chance something on the 1800 contacts that is preventing it from contacting the springs inside the handle? i think thats pretty unusual for a battery to be 100% dead unless a connection is loose inside the battery pack.

If I were you I would send it back and get the RNB battery. For a few dollars more you get the battery plus the charger. I love mine.

You might check to be sure the charger is functioning properly. (it could be a faulty cord making intermittent contact inside to insulation.) Good Luck and HH

Thank you friends for all of your helpful comments. I cleaned the contacts to remove some light oxidation and it fired right up. I did consider the RNB but was able to pick this up at a very steep discount. Again, than you for all your help.
