Battery replacement

Flintstone

Well-known member
Hi fokes, Dose anyone know about how much to replace the battery in the Deus 11" coil ?? Dose the 5 year warranty cover the battery or not ? Thanks flintstone

Thanks Jim, that is not as bad as I though. Thinking about buying a used coil but don't know how old it is, may need a battery.

See my battery post on April 4, recently. I replaced my three batteries for 26.50 each. Very pleased.

5 year warranty doesn't cover batteries.

Also folks buying used coils,,, remember not all had/ have 5 year warranty...Depends on when the coil was originally purchased.

I have been getting emails about members not able to find the posting. I apologize and find by date is not the best way to find postings. If u click on my user name Listener & then show all posts, it is the one with subject/topic Battery. Or since it has been shuffled back it is presently on page two of this forum.

I am guessing you will void any warranty if you open any part of the machine to change a battery. I would suggest this is left to your repair centre.

Hi, I am to of needing a battery put in a coil! My next question is where do I get this done? I live in Milwaukee, WI. and called a some detecting stores around here. They had no idea of where to go. One store said send the coil back to XP.
I had bought the detector from Windy City Detector, but now they are just an Internet sales. I was looking for some one that could replace the battery local. Or get the kit to do it your self. Sorry I am just a little frustrated in getting this done.
Thank you for any help you can give me on this. I want to get out and start detecting!

Thank you! I did just that today. They told me to check the head phones and see if the coil icon reads the same as the control does. If head phones read good not to worry. They also said to down load
a new update of soft-wear 3.2. So I am going to get that done, the detector works great. I just didn't know if the battery on the coil was going bad.I had talked to a gentlemen by the name of Moe. He was
very informative and question the fact that the battery needed replacement. He also said to get back to him, to let him know what happen. Now I just have to go over to my friends house and get the new
download. Not that I can't do it, but my friend is an IT teck. for computer company. I feel safer to have him do it. Well I hope I get this resolved. They were very nice in helping me out. Also thanks again
for your help!
