Beach cleaning maching

midalake

TROLL
OK they pulled a beach cleaning maching on the beach in mexico here. The turd running it has already showed me coins and they were small including one us dime. So my question is just how effective are they????

Dave

I'm sure they can be set up with any size of screen, but the ones I have seen only grab the larger items like cans, rocks, silverware, toys. One driver that I talked to said collecting objects is not the main purpose of the rake, but it is to turn over the bird poo for sanitary purposes and to manicure the sand so it looks nice. He said he couldn't go slow enough to sift out coins and rings even if he could. It sounds like Gringo was just having fun with you.........

[size=medium]Actually there are 2 different kinds of machines. Generally most beach areas will use the standard rake that will pick up soda cans and larger items. This can not be adjusted by the operator.

The more expensive ones that are probably only used on higher class hotel beaches have a screen system in which the operator can acturally determine how wide the opening is and what can fall through. He can adjust it so that even a dime won't go through. When he's done he just keeps the goodies for himself. Not many of these machines are used because they are much more expensive than the standard beach rake, and the rake makes the sand look just as nice.

In fact, the beach rakes will even shred aluminum cans, but they don't pick up coins. Most drivers will stop to pick up litter rather than shred it.

The ones they use here not even a cigarette butt drops through, lots of pulltabs are taken too but so is every thing else.

a moving picture is better than words also leaves you without words

Well I am not so sure he is having fun with me. The largest screen this thing comes with is a 1inch. Yesterday he handed me a couple more pennies.......If he is getting pennies need I say more?
