Beach coil of choice on the GT?

I think your stock coil should work fine.Don't get frustrated give your self some learning time..Good Luck HH Ron

I have used the stock 10" coil, The SEF 10X12 and the Detech 13" Ultimate. All three worked well. I liked the larger footprint of the 13 Ultimate.

George is correct, the SEF 10x12 and Detech 13 inch work well and have a large following.HH Ron

I use the 13" she swings easily and covers a LOT of sand fast. Ive used the SEF as well. I tested the 13" against the standard..... in the dry sand its got more depth, but near the water line where a good many of the better finds are she gets a little chatty so the standard coil is about as deep. Honestly, most of the beaches here have been hit for years..... spending time digging targets that are DEEP trying to find small gold at 15" isnt going to work. Gold is a low conductor the small stuff is beyond your coils sensitivity. You are better off spending your time covering as much sand as you can looking for recent drops on the dry sand. Now in the wet sand..... you get more surprised because of the tide changes and swell action.... its constantly changing. If you want to spend your time digging deep targets there is the place to do it..... there to thigh deep water.

I have several coils setup for my Excalibur that were once used by the Sovereign ..Sunray 5, Sunray 8, Stock 10, ULT 13 and the WOT Out of all I use the 10 the most, and the 13 as Dew said.....But each has it's place and really can turn a tuff area into a much more rewarding hunt..
