Beach scoop handle

I have a wooden in mine now ... Would a lighter one but just as tough. Any suggestions?

I got tired of replacing wooden handles. So I ordered a 48" Fiberglass Post Hole Digger handle from Sears for $20 and filled it with spray foam for floatation. That thing is a BEAST! And no more rotted wood!!!

I went down to a place where they make aluminum poling platforms for fishing. Got the handle bent into a candy cane form that is 5' tall. Have used it for 6 years....have dug hindreds of holed and it still looks new!
