Beach trip finds

Took time out for a trip to the beach and having found an assortment of rings (not gold or silver) and costume jewellery which is the norm for all of us, I did find a 925 silver earring which was a 'keeper':clapping: and also a pair of decorative earrings! which is quite a rare find. I've found numerous gold and silver and cheapo earrings but only perhaps 2 pairs together! My wife quickly 'snagged' the pair for herself which she occasionally does with my rings!!! HH and GL everyone!!

All Right. Silver is always welcome, of course, but its rare (for me) to find something that delicate in that good of condition. Did you find the pair in the dry sand? What are the stones?

You beach guys make me so jealous!

Hi Akita, living here in SoCal I guess I'm spoiled as far as metal detecting goes because the mountains and deserts are just 30 minutes away, the beaches are 40-45 minutes drive and there are lots of parks BUT give me the beach anyday! I detect dry and wet sand 90% of the time and under water when I can. I got these in the dry sand towel line. There are lots of fellow detectorists but there is also a LOT of beach 'real estate' as well! so it's the luck of the draw.
Most everything I detect is in great shape because of being in soft sand as opposed to 'lawn mower' (smashed up) finds in the parks! I always find a ton of junk finds but I also find LOT'S of clad coins and use that to pay for food and drinks! I don't know where you live but you'll have to plan on a 1 week or so beach trip sometime....it's a lot of fun! The stones in the earrings are nothing of great value by the way.

We are planning a trip to some of the South Carolina next month; while I have lots of experience in hunting the lawnmower slaw, this will be my first hunt on a beach. I'm really looking forward to it.
