Been about 12 months since I dug Spanish silver

Today was the day and it was my first target. Next two hours only a Jefferson nickel. Its a Carolus III. Maybe one Real? The Half Reals I found are a hair smaller than a U.S. dime. Found this silver in a corn field today. Jabbo
 
Reale nice dave....it is a 1reale as it has the. 1R mark on reverse... the only 1 reale ive ever dug just happens to be the same date...

Found plenty of half Reals and many years ago an 1802 two Real (size of a silver dollar) . This Carolus guy was one ugly dude but he made the two hour hunt a success. The corn was cut but the cut stalks are a good 12 inches high so searching was very limited.
