Been waiting all winter to hunt this one house.

NH Bob

New member
Went this afternoon for a few hours. Lots of trash which I expected. I didn't get any good signals till I got to the side of the house. Then got that sweet Big copper/silver signal. Came in louder than I expected for a copper 7" or 8" deep.
Only other coins were the Wheaties.

Wouldn't you know it? Typical NH copper, corroded.

I found my first and only last year...and we couldn't even tell what it was until we got home and cleaned it. I thought I had found a pizza token:laugh:

At least the Date is still good enough to see it. There has to be more finds in that yard so keep going back. Remember, Go SLOWWWW! Good Luck and HH NH Bob!

Glad you got out for real finally, Bob.

Why's NH hard on the coppers?

That's a nice one Bob. Copper around here takes a beating also. I found an 1878 IH penny last weekend. Could see the date but thats about it. Maybe it's the acid in the soil that kills copper but makes those silver coins look like new. Found a new site today that the town started clearing. and there in the middle of the clearing was a small cellar hole.I stopped on my way to work and
found part of an old pewter spoon and pottery shards. Going to rain for a day or two but will hit it again asap. Nice finds. Maybe I'll get lucky and find a beat up large at this site.

Any slower and I'd have to bring a lawn chair with me.
Huge yard, I'll be going back off and on this season.

That way you can be low to the ground and push gently with your feet. It also saves on the back, so you don't have to bend down so much. Good Luck and HH.:detecting:
