Friend sent me this. Replace "fishing" with "metal detecting". Now I can go during the week when the water is calm; can pick low tide times to go, etc.

I agree to a point, more than likely one of the reasons I've done well over the years, being able to pick and choice. But I found you can get spoiled when waiting for those best conditions, when sometimes the bad conditions can put you into spots you normally would not hunt. Something I learned from my friend Mike Guard.

I'm going to miss the winter and early spring high winds from the NNW that pushed the water out of the west side bay tributaries and opened up great opportunities. That said ... we are loving life in warmer weather. We will see how it goes when we experience a hurricane blow through.
