Best Additional Coils for E-Trac

What would be the best additional coils to purchase for an E-Trac?

I'm looking for the best stability, depth, pin-pointing in the coils

Or...any of the SEF coils. I don't use the Pro Coil now. I use the SEFs. Have a small, medium, and large. Get an extra lower shaft if you spring for any extra coil as it's much easier and faster to switch from one coil to the other. It probably ensures a higher probability of changing the coils and using the right size for the place being hunted. jim

The 12X15 can cover some serious ground. It works best for me in fields, like the middle of football or soccer field, where there should not be much trash. With the X-1 I can find targets just as fast as I can with the 6X8 SEF. I use the 6X8 in high trash areas. The weight, if you'll learn to adapt yourself to a Swingy Thingy or a similar product, stops being an issue. I use the ST with all the coils. I even move it to my Ace 250 when I go play with it. Used it the other day when 'learning' more about the Fisher CZ-21 and was marking targets with golf tees and then used both the E-Trac and then the CZ-21 on the marked targets to compare differences. The ST was hooked to the CZ and even though it's a weighted coil water machine, it was not a bugger to use on land. jim

I have the Sunray X5, the Minelab 8", the Pro coil, and the WOT. Each has its purpose.

Would like to try all of the SEF coils, maybe I will someday but will probably settle for just the 15x18 when the price comes back to reality on them. :yikes:

I really don't think you could go wrong with any of them- just match them to the conditions you encounter. :twodetecting:

I have a 12x15 SEF coil and was thinking about adding the 8x6. I also have a 5" Excelerator coil. Wasn't sure how that will work. Is the original SE FBS of any great benefit? I just wasn't sure if ther were better coils for this machine.

X5 X8 & X12 Sunray coils. They work great and are the lighter of the coils size wise out there. The SEF's are great coils also except they have to have lead shot in them they are so heavy:twodetecting:
