Best Barber quarter ever

Larry (IL)

Well-known member
I took the SE Pro out of moth balls to make sure it works OK. I want to find a new owner for it one day. In between rain showers this weekend I managed to get out a couple of times and I found what is probably the nicest Barber quarter I have ever found. I have found some nice Barber dimes before, but never a quarter this nice, they are usually well worn. A couple of Rosies, a 1904 Indian, 15 wheats, a token and a perfect spelling pin as well as the usual clad and toys rounded out the weekend for me.

Wow, that is awesome! It must have been lost the day it was issued.

Larry, It looks like you found a great place to hunt! That Quarter is one of my favorite looking coin. Especially the reverse side. Keep up the good work. Ken

Or shortly after anyway. It does have some wear, but not much, and I was way too rough cleaning it up. I stopped when I saw the scratches I put on the front from cleaning. The Indian was about 20 feet way in the same yard.

I bet that kinda makes you wonder if you really want to sell that SePro hu.........Was this a new site, or a place you have been before ?.

WOW! What a great looking Barber  Congratulations Larry

A new yard we got permission to hunt Elton. It was about three inches deep.

WooooooooooooooooooooooooW ! ! ! :bouncy: Most excellent :surprised:

That is one chiseled Barber! I sure do love digging those, that one is cut and crisp! Congrats on the haircut! amc

Ive got a great looking 1907 Barber also Larry... must have been a good year for those coins or people were clumbsy. Nice finds ... you might want to reconsider getting rid of that SE LOL.

Dew

Thanks for the offer, but I don't sell my finds.

I agree Ken, I love that bird on the back too.

I hear ya Dew but the SE has just been collecting dust for the past year and someone will enjoy it far more than I.
