Best CTX Weekend Hunt So Far

My brother-in-law is finally feeling better so I took the 2 hour up to hunt with him this weekend and WOW!, did we have a good one! I always think that the current rip can never be as good as what we've done in the past and am always surprised. I found my oldest silver coin to date, a well worn 1790 Charles IV 1/2 Reale, yet another large cent, an ladies pin, indian head pennies, buffalo nickels (My dad gave me the nice 1930 buffalo), 40 wheats Ranging from 1913 to 1956 (of which, only a portion are shown in the photo and multiple other silver. This is just what I found and doesn't include my brother-in-laws finds! Plus, $9.55 in clad.

I couldn't fit both pictures of the Large cent in the first post. Here they are.

Man, you killed it! All great finds - congrats on that reale especially!

Thanks. I had a great time.

Sweetness!

Awesome hunt duke what coil and program were you running!! Have you thought anymore on adding the DEUS to your collection!! Lol

I'm using the CTX stock coil and running the Minelab Coin program with the Conductive Tones set from 75 to 1200 Hz.

I have a few really trashy sites I'd be curious about using a Deus in.

Thanks Doc. I assumed it was a 1/2 Reale due to it's size.

Great Job Duke!

It was definitely the very best weekend with the CTX so far.

When we were on the way to hunt a house, where we had picked up a bunch of Indian Heads in the Spring, I saw where about 2 acres was being bulldozed off. It had been covered in foliage since as long as I can remember and I'll be 57 in November. My brother-in-law made contact with the owner and is awaiting a call back. If he says we can detect it this upcoming weekend, I may just be making another trip for a few days!

Thanks! I wish I was hunting a fairground like yours.

Congrats on another excellent outing. What an assortment! Nicely done. I can't wait to see what you come up with next. HH Randy

Me too. I always think that there can't a better one, but I end up pleasantly surprised.
