Hey, as long as it's above freezing, it's worth getting out there. Weekend high temps here in the North Jersey shore area ranged from 50 on Friday, down to 39 today.
The '25 & '27 wheaties (tid 37),buttons were in sandy soil, easy digging 6-7 inches.
The SLQ , (tid 38-39- guessing a 1927?) was in a mix of gravel and sand at just 5 inches, which explains the wear on the obverse. I did a no-no and used baking to clean it up a bit (but I keep all my recovered silver anyway. Ring weighed in at 38-39. Brass key-thingy and conical sphere were dead on 38. All clad quarters were 38. Funky imitation gold "plated" quarter, caused my heart to skip a beat, also rang in at 38. Stats- low density/cross saved coin to relic/ auto sens. Thanks for viewing.
