Last March I hunted the Blue Gray Invitational in Virginia, and it was raining 400 cats and dogs from the time I arrived until the time I left. I didn't have a cover, so I had to improvise with some good old southern minority ingenuity. I went to the local supermarket and purchased a roll of Saran Wrap. I removed the roll from the box and stretch-wrapped the control housing tightly. I crossed the meter face first, and then wrapped round-and-round the box, thereby sealing the controls completely. The Etrac performed flawlessly in driving rain, and when I got back home and removed the wrap, the housing and electronics were bone-dry.
