A phone call alerted me to this post today as I rarely peek here anymore. See, most people don't have any clue I was "removed" as host/ moderator of these forums I started & built up like 10 yrs ago after being banned from the Depot.....So, ever since I decided to put my typing efforts towards other things like writing more stories for the magazines, YOUtube, working on a second DVD, watching my daughter grow up, etc. All more important than posts here. I've heard all kinds of rumblings....Bill Ladd quit detecting, Bill just digs bottles now, he gut banned, etc, etc. All false. I'm finding more treasures than ever.....just don't make the effort to share every picture here like I once did every single day for 9 years strait. Making a good picture post took at least an hour of effort, with nothing to show for it (& some even complaining that was just "showing off"). The magazines pay me a nickel a word & $5.00 a picture, and an occational cover shot on a magazine that sits in most every major bookstore. (So, I probably should have been typing freelance articles all along instead of millions of words & countless posts....).
I still have lots of friends & contacts on here & still get tons of PM's & e-mails I try to answer when I can....but sometimes it's a month before I bother to get back here for PMs. Now hopefully people get an idea why & don't think I'm blowing them off.
Anyhow, there's a new "button dump" video you can check out on youtube, new "Colonial Quarry" article in this months W&E Treasures.

Sorry I feel that the Depot is nothing more than Metal Detecting Nazis, I got banned for just the simplest thing and have never been back since. It's not worth my time there.
