Bill_S's program is a nickel magnet

Wow you had a great day. The 28 nickels is awesome. If they are in the area you will find them with this pattern. My best day was 29 and I routinely find 12 to 15 per outing if I am digging nickel signals.

Just a little tip so you don;t end up wasting an hour editing.

wile editing (DO NOT BUMP THE NOISE CANCELLATION BUTTON) or you will be starting over.

After you have edited the screen the way you want (HIT THE DETECT BUTTON) then the right arrow to load to smart find, Then menu save select pattern.
If you do not hit the (DETECT BUTTON) AFTER EDITING AND BEFORE SAVING YOU WILL BE DOING IT ALL AGAIN.

Speaking from actual experience.

Found that out the HARD WAY
Sorry to say it happened more than once

Second try with your Park Pattern did produce a couple of nickles. Not deep or old like the copper and silver, but they were nickles. Still pulled about 10 beaver tails to get the 2 nickles LOL. Also pulled 2 wheats and a 59 quarter.

Not bad. Sounds like you are in one of those trashy areas. When you get in an area with less beaver tails your nickel ratio will even be better. That is the only target that seems to fool the pattern on a regular basis. Thankfully not all my sites have a lot of these so my nickel to trash ration is usually a lot better. The beaver tails will sometimes hit in the 9 -10/12 range instead of the 12-12/12-13 range. Maybe take note and see if this is true in your area too. The bigger ones sometimes hit right at nickel.

Used your pattern on two heavy trash sites this weekend. I know that being new I should e digging it all but the ratio of trash to coins was at least 20 to one so we tried out your pattern. Got 5 modern nickels, four wheats and a handful of modern pennies, dimes and quarters. When I hit a null I'd check it in an open quick mask screen and if it looked and sounded promising still dug. Picked up a broken silver commemorative spoon, two rifle shells, two shotgun shells that way. The sheer amount of metal and aluminum scrap on these two sites was amazing.

One it turned out had been the property of a professional gardener who seemed to bury every aluminum plant tag and metal stake he ever used! The other was a very old park property that I've been working for months with my Garrett. The usual story, everyone says it's hunted out but I keep finding things in between the pull tabs, can slaw and bottle caps. As I'm learning the E-Trac more I'm very happy with it's ability to separate the good from the bad. I'm a slow hunter by nature so a low slow swing is what I like anyways and it's starting to pay off. No silver coins yet but they are a rare thing down here. I'll hit a few yet though.

Well Monday I went back to the trash park. Pulled about 40 more clad coins but just decided to leave your program going as I moved to other areas. Smart move on my part and the only change I made was going up to +3 sens. Pulled a 1907 Barber Quarter at about 9", a 1936 D Buff. nickel, 1943 P nickel, both about 6" a 1919 D Merc at about 1 1/2" in heavy trash, 1921 cent, and a 1916 S cent. Not a bad day in my book. The park guys stopped by and said we were probably wasting our time as the park had been worked to death. We talked for a while then they told me of an old fairgrounds and said we were more then welcome to work it even giving us the way to get around the locked gates. Bill your program works just getting all the clad out of the way is the secret ot getting the good stuff. Thanks again for your effort
