Bland, New Mexico

I've seen and read most of these articles. Have you gotten access to hunt there?? Most SW ghost towns are on some kinda fed. state or private holdings. Did you or have you access to Bland?? TC-NM
 
Bland is on private property. Not much standing as wildfires have gone up Bland canyon several times.

I've panned small flakes of gold out of the creek a mile or so bellow the town in the canyon but there's no access to the town itself and it's quite a hike from the nearest road. Fenced off the last I heard and they close the main road in the Winter due to degradation. Marlboro may be a better choice but I haven't tried getting in there for many years.
