Hello everyone, was about 90 degrees with high humidity here in NW Ohio today! i hunted for about 2 and a half hours at an old farm house i got permission for earlier this week. old man and women that live there have been together since they were 16 and 17. old mam is now 82 old women now 81. they have lived in the same house since 1955! very nice people, but most older people are. pulled out a '63 rosie and a '41 wheat. and two old baby silverware pieces. nice to get silver was just hoping for it to be alittle older, but beggers can't be choosers i guess.

Thanks, Weston

This heat & humidity is tough. I hope to get into the water soon. Still you got some neat finds and you met some really nice people. Maybe they can tell you where there may be some better places to hunt on the property. There's probably some more goodies waiting for you like some buttons, fobs, tokens, etc. HH

It's been hot here in eastern PA too. The ground is totally dried out and that makes for rough digging.

Congrats on the silver.

Nice goin there weston. Old or new it's just fun seeing that flash of silver in the soil. Keep up the good work my friend.

It is sometimes harder to find old targets in a home that has been updated and lived in than one that was tore down say around 1900. All our modern trash gets in the way. Ive hunted a few old 2 story confederate style homes.... the first thing i look at has there been add ons to the house. A lot of times they had to move a lot of dirt around for those add ons..... most of it they just spread out on the yard. Couple that with roofing nails and old burn barrel spots that got moved around and its tuff to find the oldies. So those finds are pretty darn good.
