Bottle cap rejection

Depends on the circumstances. I run at 0 in the right places but up to 6 if I'm in an area with lots of caps and I'm only concerned about more surface targets as in a newer park. You will lose signals that can be good as you raise the level but if you are in area that has lots of newer beer caps it is almost a necessity. A lot of these new designer breweries that have limited distribution of brew with cult followings are using high content solid aluminum caps that really reads well , especially if they are wrap if foil. All the public parks here are marked "NO alcohol or glass bottles" but the vast majority of the POS population here in the Duke City ignores those regs completely.

On older rusted ones, 3 is about right. You want just enough to make the audio break up on them with some Iron tone.
