Bought some nice leather gloves...even the color of the Explorer II but....

Pete in MI

I have a gift card, given to my wife, Sherry and I as a wedding present, and it had about $8.50 left on it. Took it to Home Depot and used it to buy a new pair of leather gloves for digging...protecting me when metal detecting. The price was right as I still have 95 cents on the card. The gloves are even colored the same as my Minelab. I usually don't question such a gift from God. But I wonder what Home Depot is thinking. These wonderful gloves are made in PAKISTAN.

Is it my imagination or is this the same country we see on TV with adults and kids in the streets, waving and shooting AK-47 rifles - protesting the United States?

Tell me I am wrong. Tell me someone didn't decide Americans didn't need jobs. Tell me some company didn't decide to support those who want to destroy America. A country that protects and supports terrorists...including Osama Bin Laden.

What in the world are these people thinking?????

Ever look at the labels when you buy things?

I will be taking them back. I still have the receipt and will be talking to the manager. I also sent an email to the American Family Association about this so they can check into it with other Home Depots across the nation and with the headquarters and ask them what they are thinking. Almost feels like maybe I should tell the Homeland Security people since this smacks of supporting terrorism.

It's strange where some things are made. It's expanding out there and more stuff being out sourced. I just bought a camera last week then two others this morning as I'm replacing & updating what I had. One of them, a Canon, I thought would be made in Japan. On the bottom of the camera it says made in China. I guess I thought wrong. I wonder what I'll find when I open the packaging on the other two cameras. Don't know anymore and don't pay to guess.
Good luck on the leather gloves. Now I'll have to check where all my motorcycle gloves are made. The ones I use the most are a pro baseball glove for batting. Well baseball is known here, but now them gloves may be made some place where baseball is not recognized - guess that shouldn't surprise me.
[added] - my baseball batting gloves are a nice gray/black tone with anti-vibrating gel pads. I might have to consider a pair for detecting. Mine are well worn but have been very comfortable and I been very satisfied with them. Alright, I'll see if a tag says where they are made from.

Had to check on my baseball batting gloves I normally use for motorcycle use. I didn't check any of my other motorcycle gloves. I'm afraid to. One of the pairs I paid 165.00 oh wait, I remember when I bought them that they were made in Germany. I don't have to guess on that one pair, but I probably won't go peek on the others.
I took a guess or two before actually looking - I guessed wrong on both thoughts - don't pay to know anymore.
