Brian's Battle - new update

[size=medium]My goodness I can't tell you how much Brians story has touched me. I am not an overly religious person and was just browsing all the forums and came upon Brians story. Having just lost my sister Donna and Larry, the best Father-in law anyone could ask for to cancer in the last 6 months, I feel compelled offer my support and prayers to Doug and Carol and of course Brain. You are all in my thoughts. If possible I would like to know Brians ring size as I have a gift for him that I think can cheer him up. Please get back to me when you have a chance. My email address is plumabob@yahoo.com.

What a nice thing to do Bob and welcome to the forum! I am sure Brian would really like the ring and it would cheer him up, as he enjoys receiving things even cards of encouragement and hope! He and his family have been through so much, but Jesus has been with them also and lifted them up when they needed it through our prayers and etc. God Bless you and them! Betty

Welcome to the forum. Thanks for offering support to my buddy! He is special.

God bless you.

...and welcome to the forum. I'm very sorry to hear about your loss and can't imagine what you are going through. Your offer for Brian is a very generous and heartfelt thing to do...thank you!

I sent you a PM.

...for taking time to think of us in prayer. We haven't heard from Vanderbilt yet but Brian hasn't bled any today. But, he just called out for me from his bed and when I got to his side he was holding his left leg and said he thinks it snapped in the usual place in his tibia. I checked it and there is a bump there and it is extremely painful to the touch so I administered first aid by wrapping it in an Ace bandage. He just got his pain meds so that will take the edge off of the pain. Breaking his leg in bed would be a first. It isn't a serious break, only a stress type fracture and the internal rods will keep the bone immobilized. In the morning if it is still real painful I'll take him to the orthopedist and have it x-rayed and casted. The last time this happened they didn't do anything since Brian doesn't walk on it anyway and wears clam shell braces too.

It's time for bed. God bless and thanks for caring!!

Doug

You are welcome, Doug, and it is a privilege to pray for Brian and each of you! May the Lord carry the burdens that seem to keep coming and make them lighter for all of you to bear! Amen! The Lord God is mighty in pulling down strongholds, so keep leaning on and trusting in Jesus! God Bless! Betty
