Brian's Battle - new update

This morning, as I was getting ready for work, Brian rolled into the room and exclaimed with a big smile on his face, "Dad...I haven't bled for four or five days now!!"

He also had been feeling much better...seemed to be in less pain and much happier.

Carol called me at work this afternoon to tell me that Brian had started bleeding again. She said he had actually bled twice more and each time he bled more than the last time. When I got home a really dejected Brian told me he had bled once more. He is really depressed.

Praying for Brian. Let Brian know that was the devil trying to take away his joy. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen..

When things like this happen Brian might try to remind himself of these thing....the devil is a liar, there is no truth in him, in the end he loses
We can confess in faith that we thank Jesus for His healing...with His stripes we are healed (speaking the Word is speaking Truth). Though we may not feel like we are healed or llook healed, the Word says we are. We just have to laugh at the devil, the liar, the deceiver, the devourer and not let him take away the joy we have.

I hope this makes sense and helps Brian realize the devil is playing with his emotions and trying to get him depressed.

I sometimes get the same way...depressed. I ask myself now...is it better to look up at the night sky filled with darkness without visible stars or moon and be upset or in the morning when I arise should I look up at the beautiful sun lit sky with clouds and birds singing and flying about give thanks to Jesus for His healing and His love? I think the latter is much better.

Love ya Brian. Don't let the devil take away your joy. Keep your chin up. We are with you in prayer and in spirit.

...and I've been up comforting Brian since 2am with another bleeding episode. He says he can't hear out of his left ear. He also said he is ready to go home. If he continues to bleed we'll take him to the hospital for blood level tests in the morning.

He was up at 2am and 4am with bleeding episodes. This morning at 5 am we took Brian in to Children's Hospital to have his blood levels checked. They were excellent. He had bled quite a bit but what really scared me was when I saw blood in his left ear. He had said he couldn't hear good from it this morning so it must have filled with blood internally and leaked through the tube in the eardrum. Since his blood levels were good they sent us home and told us to call his doctor in Nashville Monday. He is still bleeding a little now.

I'll keep you posted on how things progress.

Praying for Brian and each of you, Doug! Stay focused on Jesus and keep saying by His stripes Brian is healed and tell Brian that He cannot go home to Jesus until God is ready for him to be there with Him! His time on earth isn't up, as yet, and that you, Carol and Sarah want him with you as long as possible....but when it is time for him to go to Jesus then you, Carol and Sarah can let him go and though you all will miss him, his spirit will be with the Lord of lords and the King of kings and he will have no pain and will be in peace and then someday you all will be together again in the beautiful, golden city of new Jerusalem!
