Brian's Battle (yesterday)

Back from Vandy...

...with great news! Brian's eyesight is near perfect and surgery does not need to be moved up. That means Brian can enjoy Christmas!!!

It also means this is the first year since 2000 that Brian won't have a tumor reduction surgery!!

We ran into a little snow on the way to Nashville (see pic) and that always adds a little excitement to any trip. Especially when your window washer fluid doesn't work! It was relatively clean when I took the pic but a few miles later I hit the window washer and the dry blade smeared the windshield so bad we could barely see. It had fluid in it so must have frozen. We ended up having to make a pit stop to clean the windshield.

The GoGo scooter was a lifesaver today! The donor also included a backpack that fits over the seat and is large enough for all of Brian's medical supplies plus extras, like his jacket and a small blanket. It is a backsaver too because Brian's wheelchair is short and I am bent over the whole time I push him in it. It has been a real blessing.

We're worn out and ready for bed. The night before every trip to Vandy I can't sleep for some reason and last night was no exception. I should sleep tonight!

We were blessed with an uneventful trip and came home with good news. A pretty good day!

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers!

Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, for the good report on Brian's being able to be home for Christmas and that his eye-sight is okay and he won't have to have the surgery! We are all sooooo thankful Lord for Your mighty and awesome work in all our lives and, specailly, of those who face illnesses of any kind for You are a great and merciful God Who loves His Children more than any of us can even know! It is not Your will that any be sick and suffering but 'tis satan's evil corruption in the world causing sickness and death and it is not Your will that any should perish but that all should repent and have everlasting life with Jesus in Your beautiful and peaceful Glory-Land, but it is our choice to have faith in You no matter what circumstances our mortal bodies suffer and for Your saving grace to touch our hearts and accept Jesus as our own personal Savior! We may live in a world of sin with all its corruption, but we can have peace with Jesus, Who helps us endure and overcome it all, to be with forever more! Amen! Ma Betty

Doug, I am glad you and Brian made it home, safely, and may you all have a good-night's sleep and awake fully rested with the peace and love of God in your hearts! Ma & Gamma Betty

GOD IS Awesome..............He Has A Sence Of Humor Also Listen To Him Brian He made Me Laugh until my biopsy drilled hole hurt.........I love Him and You Also.........bro. Dan!!!!!!!Praying on from here.

Hi Dan, Yes God does have a sense of humor....I remember one time that I had asked God to have me awake by 8:00 am ( now some people would say why bother him with trivial things..but He is my Father and He looks after His Children) and my daughter had gone to high school and forgot to take her gym clothes and gym was her first class.....she was old enough to care for herself and would get up before me at times....sooo she called me and woke me up to bring her what she needed! I took her clothes and got there before her class started at 7:30 am I believe...hard to remember now and I was there by 7:15....on the way home I was talking to God and said God, I asked You to wake me up at 8:00 and He reminded me that I said by 8:00 and when I thought about it, it was the way God told me, so I just laughed and laughed all the way home for His being so humorus! God does have a sense of humor!!! May God Bless and be with you, Dan and Brian and all the families bring peace and comfort that passes our own understanding! Amen! ;angel: Ma Betty
