...with great news! Brian's eyesight is near perfect and surgery does not need to be moved up. That means Brian can enjoy Christmas!!!
It also means this is the first year since 2000 that Brian won't have a tumor reduction surgery!!
We ran into a little snow on the way to Nashville (see pic) and that always adds a little excitement to any trip. Especially when your window washer fluid doesn't work! It was relatively clean when I took the pic but a few miles later I hit the window washer and the dry blade smeared the windshield so bad we could barely see. It had fluid in it so must have frozen. We ended up having to make a pit stop to clean the windshield.
The GoGo scooter was a lifesaver today! The donor also included a backpack that fits over the seat and is large enough for all of Brian's medical supplies plus extras, like his jacket and a small blanket. It is a backsaver too because Brian's wheelchair is short and I am bent over the whole time I push him in it. It has been a real blessing.
We're worn out and ready for bed. The night before every trip to Vandy I can't sleep for some reason and last night was no exception. I should sleep tonight!
We were blessed with an uneventful trip and came home with good news. A pretty good day!
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers!
