Bullets and a gold ring today at the beach

Company coming for dinner this weekend, so 6 AM I was washing the kitchen floor and dusting the den so that I could get to the beach early and get home to start lunch ....mustn't shirk my household chores for metal detecting...heavens...no! ..never


Don't know about these bullets...but I do know that one is a musket ball...I think so

Found all the items on the wet slope area which is devoid of sand due to recent storms....lots of rocks sticking out of the base.


14 K "Claddagh" ring was not deep...one scoopful


Ring marked "INDIA" is probably aluminum...very light.Tested negative for silver.

3 lb object I don't think is a fishing sinker..but don't know what it is

I am able to get out there so much because I am old and retired ......probably old enough to be most of these forum members' mother.


Retirement has its perks, but the fountain of youth isn't one of them..

I figure I have a few years left to glean those beach treasures before I hang up my scoop and detector.

HI Vernon; I think the Bullets missed their mark. hahaha. Anyway the bullets are a 3 ring lead bullet dates to 1860's, A common bullet and a real musketball date to 1855 or older. OK I hope this helps. Nice ring too. PEACE:RONB
