C Scope R1

I recently purchased a C scope R1 detector. Here is a short summary.
Comes with a 15 cm and 25 cm searchcoils. Has an interesting TID display, like a ground radar. TID can be backlit for low light use.
The disc scale is 1 to 20.

Uses 8 AA batteries.

Comes with three preset programs, Coin Inland Coin Beach and All Metal.
Provision for 2 user defined programs.
Low medium or high frequency choices.

Has discrimination accept, reject and edit features.

Air testing and initial use shows good depth and discrimination. I do not know how sensitive it is to gold as I have no jewelry at this time to test on it.

In comparison to the Tesoro Cibola it as deep. Weighs about twice as much as a Tesoro.

where's it made? never heard of it!
is it a "knockoff" of some thing else?
why did you buy this, and what is the warranty on it?
where do you send it if it's "busted"?..thanks!

It is made in England by C.scope metal detectors and it is not a knockoff. Warranty is 2 years.

Yeah the Cscope R1 are nice,I been looking at csope for a while .I would settle for 1220XD LOL besides its the only one I could afford.Keep us posted on how R1 does.

I am not exactly sure of the cost yet, it was in Euros. I will know after my credit card statement arrives. It is a UK made detector.

It is a UK made detector. It has two years parts and labor warranty, three years for parts only.

I wanted one for few different reasons.
It has had some decent reviews in the UK and elsewhere.
The coinage where I live is similar to the UK, I live in what was one of the oldest British colonies.
I wanted a TID detector with a few more features than my DeLeon, backlit display, a few more adjustments.

So far overall it has met my expectations.

ic! best of luck with it!
