Some years ago my dad and my brother were knocking out a section of wall to gain access to the other side of our house as it was a later addition. The main house was built in 1845 according to the peak stone in the attic.[attachment 127143 1845.jpg]
Inside the wall they found an old horse whip in very good condition except for the butt was coming unbraided. I don't know if this could be considered a cache but it does prove that at least one person associated with this place was of the caching mindset.[attachment 127145 oldwhip.jpg]
I was recently reminded of this when I read an article about cache hunting in Lost Treasure Magazine. I've since looked in every place I can think of to find a cache of loot but haven't had any luck. It is alot of fun trying though and there are hundreds of nooks and crannies when you start looking for them. It really gives ones imagination a chance to run wild.
