Can anyone comment on the Racer 15.5 x 13 coil?

Specifically weight, balance and performance. Opinions of its ability to give an accurate visual target ID on deeper coins for instance. I'd hate to take reasonably well balanced unit and turn it into a nose heavy toad that is no fun to swing.

Any time you put a large coil like that on the end of a detector it is going to alter the weight distribution. It is not as bad as say the 17 inch CTX coil, but you sure will notice that you do not have the puck coil on. Coverage is much better as you can expect, but the real talent of the Racer is in iron with small coils. To be honest I really didn't hit any deeper targets than I would have with the stock coil. I never made it to the beach with the large coil. For being a single frequency machine the Racer does well in salty wet sand. I always thought that the large coil would be great to use there.
