Can silver mode be used at the beach?

Sure you can, it’s just a specific discrimination pattern to find what your after and block what you don’t want .

Ben nailed it. The 5 different factory modes are nothing but different combinations of the sub settings...different discrimination,different separation options,etc. There isn’t anything different going on “behind the scenes” beyond the way it’s set up.
 
If you do I would suggest you have Salt water and Recovery deep on.
 
I used it many times. Doesn’t mean you can’t find gold. Switch back to open to double check you signals. I never turned on salt water unless it was chatty or I was underwater with the coil. Experiment and sea( lol) what happens.
