Went to an open field that has a ton of can slaw, pop tops, and screw caps. The local homeless have been partying here for years so the garbage is thick. Last weekend I gave it a shot and managed an old sterling ear ring and a 1947 dime. There was little clad but the silver was a nice find.
Went back a couple days ago and clad count was low as expected but did find a pair of quarters in the same hole. Packing it in and heading towards the truck I hit a nice sounding 92-93 on the F75 and was expecting more junk. With not having rain for several months, the Florida dirt/sand just crumbles when you attempt a plug so I carelessly threw in the Lesche and flung up some of the sand. What came up was a big coin .......whaaaaaaaaaat??? I could believe it and took a pic before I even touched it. I was really shocked when I noticed it was 59 Franklin......WOW.....still can't believe I found big silver in that field.
