I found this ring made of metal on a 1800s farm site and can't figure what it is made of. It had zero corrosion on it when pulled out of the ground, it's fairly heavy, and rang a solid 12-28 on the Etrac.
Any ideas??

thanks for the help!!

Tungston ???

Looks like a ring I got off a beach in Georgia.

thanks for the info. i did some research on both tungsten and platinum and found out that both are non-magnetic, as is the ring.
I sure hope it's platinum...but it may be too dark.
