Can u say shipwrecks?

Found an interesting jpg online the other day. It shows roughly the sheer number
of shipwrecks around the Florida coast. A good illustration for further research.

Very interesting. Thank you for sharing. I have not looked at sites for FL recently, but this is interesting. Have you seen maps for other states?

Good evening Surfline.
Actually there is an excellent site that works with Google Earth
that shows several thousand wrecks and anomalies. It is downloadable. Let me find it again and I will
post it later on. Mon or Tues. If u want I can send it via PM when I find it. But if u Google "shipwreck maps"
and be specific you would be surprised as to what shows up. By this I mean like: New Jersey shipwreck maps or
whichever state you need.
I believe there were several states other than Fla.
Let me look through my notes and I'll get back to you soon!

Thank you! I use Google Earth also, just not with this function! I will try it! Thanks for sharing!

Looks very interesting. Can anyone give a web address?

Thanks,

Check this link out for some shipwreck info.
About 3/4 of the way down the page is a link titled Shipwrecks.

Thats only because the map doesn't show the 40 billion lakes in FL. If you have ever flown into Orlando you could look down and wonder where the hell are we going to land without falling into the drink.LOL

nice map info.:thumbup:great cartons too.:detecting::minelab::clapping::garrett:

The problem is that none of those wrecks hold any interest for the treasure hunter. Cargo ships, tankers, barges, scows... Nothing but scrap-metal under the water. Some are fun to dive on, in, and around....but I can't see any MD'ing benefit.

What's with the shipwrecks marked on the inland, was it a very high tide or very drunken sailor?
