Canadian coins

Just thought you Canucks out there might be interested to know that the V3 is fantastic on Cdn. coins. I have an E-Trac and it barely picks out these coins. The V3 beats it hands down. It's also better on silver, because often the E-Trac gives these tones and signals in the penny range.

I'll second that. My deepest coin so far is a Canadian nickel at 7 inches.

This has been covered before, but I think I have dug more nickels so far this year than I did all of last year. The V loves those Nic's.

Many times on those buggers it depends on the soil they lay in, the detector used, the coil used, the angle they lay at, the sweep speed, and how well centered you are over the coin. One of the trickiest targets going, separates the "Girls from the Girlee men" as the Arnold would say.

Yeah, the V3 picks up the newer coins as long as they have been in the ground a while. I saw a brand new shiny quarter lying on the ground an ran the coil over it. Null. So I guess there must be some kind of change in the coin underground. I was out tonight and picked up about $4.00 Cdn. in quarters, dimes nickels and loonies.
