That sizing feature has me stoked!! I can imaging working through a bed of nails watching the blips on the sizing screen and then get a scratch signal that looks bigger on the size-ograph and investigating a little further to find a non ferrous target hiding underneath a nail! well it sounds good in theory right?

A better way to do that might be to change the tone of the unwanted targets to a low grunt instead of discriminating them out. Each of the 192 tones in tone ID is programmable to a tone/pitch of your liking. With audio discrimination the audio is blanked so you will not hear unwanted targets with the DFX. With programmable tones your audio will be on all of the time so you should be able to hear all targets in the ground, nails next to silver for example. Again, I have not had the time to test that. You can still use audio discrimination to if you wish.

Sweet, that's the question I had... also are the tones similar to the DFX, or are they different?
 
Setting up the tones for each VDI number or a group of VDI numbers is easy to do and with this option it would be easy to set up a 3 tone id or 4 tone id. system. Nice thing the vision is very flexible and easy to use. So choosing a tone that is easy to hear for some can be done by using this method of changing tones for the VDI numbers.

We received reports back from some of the field testers that the Vision is finding good targets next to iron. This has been my experience also when using the unit in the field. I was able to find coins in nail infested area that has been hammered by all kinds of instruments.

They sound the same to me, but again, not 100% sure.
 
the MXT relic mode? thats going to be the deciding factor for me on the Vision if it can run like an MXT ( disc and all metal at the same time) plus the added bonus of the multi freq with advanced visual target I.D. man that would be sweet. Unless theres a new MXT in the works that we dont know about yet?thanks for the info Larry!! I know it had to be hard staying hush mouth till know.HA-HA.

This is how the "Mixed Mode Pro" program is set up. Nothing is blanked, iron has a grunt.
 
Thanks Carl, I'll have to try that. I have been thrilled with the Hi-Pro right out of the box. No need to tweak it yet, super performance.
