Great videos CapnSE!! It really helps to hear and to see what you are doing. I hear the 'flutey' tone. For me, it sounds more similar to the Recorder flutes that we used in school for elementary music than a modern genuine flute. Thanks for sharing. I copied the URL and sent it to a friend so he could hear and see what was going on. Jim
I normally let the ground conditions predict my swing speed. If the ground is real trashy (which it generally is in my area), I swing at a snail's pace.
Thanks for posting the vids, I'm at work now, but look foward to watching them. I think the benefit is not so much in the tone pitch or whatever as settings can affect this, but more in the repeatability of the target and at what angles. All of my iffy signals have turned out to be nails, so I basically stopped digging all iffy signals that had the same iron characteristics. But maybe I have my "iffy" threshold too high? This is the main question I think many of us want answers to, and I look foward to watching the videos to hopefully address that question.
