Charging problems with 11" coil

When i charge the coil the light stay on then when it blinks i take it off and check it, it is only 1/2 charged. I then reattach the clip and plug in cord and the light stay on and charges the rest of the way.

Is this normal?

How old is it? I have had similar issues with the coil and now the main controller with V4. Mine is a 2014 model I think. Since V4 I have zero confidence in the battery's state until I actually go hunt. The remote charge indicator will show 1/3 , then full , back to 1/3 even though it was charged the night before. When I charge I always wait for it to indicate charging is done then disconnect the clips and turn the coil on with the main controller , then turn everything off and hook it back into the charger again. Always seems to take more charge than you would think it would need.

Mine is two months old, same thing when the controller and the headphone is charged the coil is 1/2 charged, i unhook the coil and check on the controller and it says 1/2 charged, i then re hook the coil up and 2 hours later the coil is full charged.

Don't know if this is the same for everyone but it works for me so i guess i'm good.

Mine is only a few months old and it does that sometimes too, I put on all three to charge and sometimes it will only show two bars, so I have just left in on for 4 hours and that generally does it. When everything else is fully charged and coil is only showing two bars I will put the coil on to charge by itself and leave it on for an hour or so and that will do the trick.

Reload the firmware on the coil and remote, should fix battery showing the wrong charge level. If it does it again just turn the remote off and back on should be good to go.

V3.2.has been out for years any changes it it I am sure have not been done in the last few months so reloading the same version over the one on it should not change anything. I think the 3 way system is partly the culprit, simple solution just leave it on charge longer and/or charge the coil separately a glitch for sure, nothing major just a bit of annoyance.

Turning remote on and off does not change anything.

Here is a post from the English MD Forum that shows a helpful item to see if your charger is putting out enough volts and amps...it can show too about your battery...here is a redaction of the post for brevity.

Thought I would post a picture of this useful little gizmo I bought, plug it into the Deus charger then plug the triple charging lead into this. You can tell in an instant if your battery is actually charging or not by looking at the amp meter. The coil on its own will draw about point three of an amp, if the battery is low and won't draw a charge you know something is wrong. Hope this might be of some help to someone.
Does the image you've used portray all three units attached, thus showing 4.89 volts and 0.88 amps? If so, I take it that with just the coil attached the meter would show 0.3 amps instead of 0.88? It would be interesting to see the meter readings attached to a coil of those that have this issue and what that reading would show.

Yep, 0.88 was with all three on charge, with coil only it shows a draw of about 0.3 which goes down as it charges.

there are some like that one that will give a mah reading as well so you can see how the battery is holding up..

Ensure components are fully charged when updating.

Of course good advice, but the OP was about just trying to get the coil fully charged.
