I think I was lucky it was close to the surface because it doesn't air test too good at any range.
 
I think that is the thinnest coin I've seen except for maybe a hammered silver. Nice find Neil.

That looks just as thin as the one I found last summer.
 
Wow that is thin - time and the elements has taken it's time on that one. Look fragile and have been easily buggered up with a digging tool.
 
That coin was hanging on for dear life, glad you found it and that it wasn't bent or anything else!!!! If you found that on edge you would be a MD'ng God!!! LOL
 
That coin is so skinny I think it is about 1 cent now.... Cool.

Silver 3 centers are tough. Found one last year in the woods behind a church, patially under the edge of a log. The reading was solid but faint.
