This is after two years of serious detecting. When it was new, it looked kind of long and narrow now it is much shorter and appears wider. Take note of the first tooth which has almost worn away. It is almost 1 1/2 inches shorter now. I have a backup given to me by an old prospecting friend (he knows who he is) standing by. I figure I'll put it into service in 2011.

I really wouldn't be without one. You can get them anywhere MD stuff is sold. They are pricey at around 35-50 bucks but they are tough as nails, made in America, and make for easy and neat target recovery. I reckon mine has dug out 50,000 or so items. I'll grind some new teeth into over the winter and she'll be ready for 2010.

WOW that's a lot of digging Cwilk!! Looking forward to some more finds in 2010! Happy Holidays!!:clapping:

Merry Christmas to you!

My Lesche 75C is shown in the attached picture. I have had it a few months and find it is a great accessory for my 2500. It is made from hardened steel but it is not stainless steel. Therefore, after the clear coat is worn off, it will rust at the slightest excuse. After using, I wash it in soap and water, dry and then give it a coat of WD 40. It came with an end cap made from aluminum with an

I think they're all steel and not stainless. Mine goes rusty sometimes but a few pokes in the ground usually cleans it off. I used to wash mine but realized it was a losing battle. It's always dirty. I scrape off the clods of dirt after use and sharpen and thoroughly clean it once a year.

Chris

Hummmm. I just assumed it was stainless because it looks like it.
Your probably right though. Getting this knife was the best thing I ever did, next to getting
Garretts Pro-pointer.

Agreed. A Lesche type blade is a must have.
