Cleaned out an old ballfield today

I went back to an old ballfield today where I hunted last month. Last time there I got 4 silver and some wheats. Today was not as good.

I managed to squeek out one 1934 merc and 4 wheats, they were 1912, 1915D 1940, and 41. Also dug over $3.00 in clad. I dug every single repeatable target that was 3" or more deep

The first picture is showing you everything I dug today, so for the new guys who think I never dig trash, nothing could be farther from the truth. When I go out I dig a ton of targets. If someone tells you they are never digging trash, they are pulling your leg!!!!!

I am still trying hard for gold, got a lot of pulltabs, several nickels, NO GOLD. I will keep trying.

My hunt of an old ballfield turned up a pile of stuff today that looks exactly like yours, minus I didn't find any silver. Thanks for sharing and HH -Marc

Nice digs Terry...........you're absolutely right on about digging lots of trash.........if you want to find the goodies, you also got to dig the trash!!!

Nice finds Terry! Thanks for the pictures.

Congrats on the finds. Just one silver coin can make up for all the trash, but I don't mind the digging at all, I just love being on the hunt.

Hi G4E

If you keep diiging pulltabs like that the gold will not too far away...its a no's game

If only they could make pull-tabs valuable, I would be rich by now. Great finds, congratulations.

G 4 E awesome hunt, I too dig every repeatable target. Here in Mich Reltobert, we collect any of the newer pull tabs and even the older for cancer research or veterans aid. I save all my copper scraps and aluminum and recycle it. In other words its a small dent in waste, but its a dent!!!!

Thank you for post,

Moose
