My oldest finds this year in indiana. These age of coins do not come often in indiana. The first coin is 1829 large cent and the 2nd
I belive is from 1816-1819. The date rubbed off. Found about 6 inches deep. They are my pride and joy. Might not find another that old.
Found at a house that was from the 1880s. Must have been another house there at one time. Did not find any otther coins. Must have been overlooked
by another hunt. The 1u29 looks better in person. Low quality pic.

Pretty darn sweet! They look decent (unfertilized) hope you find more there.

Congrats on the large cents... that 1829 looks quite good on the head side...what cleaning method did you use? they look good...the trick is to get the nasty stuff of without getting down to the shiny metal...its easier said than done but you did good..

So it looks from the condition. , that one was heads up the other tails? Did you happen to see that when digging? Interesting to confirm my theory of rough side up???
