Coil & Water?

NE/K

New member
I am going to go to a fresh water beach in the am for the first time to find out if it is worth the 45 minute drive. Can I submerge the coil in the water at the edge? Or will it ruin the coil? Also, which coil would be my best choice for fresh water beach? Any advice is appreciated.

Thank you,
Kathy

The coils are waterproof but be careful about getting water in the control box. Safeguards are taken to prevent water from running down the rod and into the box when the coil is held higher than the control box after the coil has been in the water but you can't be too careful. It's a good practice to keep the coil lower than the box and watch your step so you don't take a dip in the drink. Good luck on the beach.

All Whites are waterproof, but don't lift the coil higher then the control box right after coming out of the water because water can run down the rod and might get into the electronics.
