That's cool as hell way to go:surprised:

Wish I saw his reaction when he started digging and hit the intact glass container. That will always bring up the goosebumps. Wonder why coin caches like this are found in that park ? Was it a site where older homes were prior to it being a park or maybe it was a safe haven to bury coins ?

Which ever is the case.....keep on hunting that park !!!

That is COOL !
big congratulations
a dream find

Hey thanks for linking it up Lipservice! The park that it was found in is private property,it is a old style beach pool that had several springs that filled it,and several pavilions going up the hill,it was opened in the early 20's and is a very popular destination to this day,it included a concession stand at the top of the hill back then, not a big ,park by any means, yes there were a few old ,homes in the surrounding area but are off limits because we cannot locate the owners,we have hunted the park hard for the last few months and lots of silver came out of the ground, most were found by a friend of mine Digginpa,he got 4 or 5, barber dimes,a barber quarter 20+ or so mercs,a standing lib quarter,a couple V nickels,a buffalo or 2,and a handfull of rosies,I got 5 mercs and 3 rosies, and a buffalo, also a couple other people picked up some various silvers also, one guy got 90 clad quarters out of one hole!not to mention 100+ wheatys between us,when we first got the permission there I was useing my V3i and wasn't doing to good with it so I got an e trac as fast as I could and was learning it while my buddy was cleaning the place out with his e trac, one day I invited Mr Palameno out for a quick evening hunt and it didnt take him long to score, about 10 min,I was happily digging my first buffalo and about to shoot the video when I hear him screaming and running back over to my son and I from a spot behind the old concession stand where they finally cut the tall grass holding the peanut jar, honestly I almost fell over, and man was I was shakeing as we dumped it out and started sorting through it! Shock and awe was the best way to describe it,I think we were all in that state for a while,Palameno has the best luck out of anyone I know, and I'm very happy for him,he has been detecting for 30+ years and knows his stuff that's for sure,I'm very fortunate to have him and Digginpa as friends that took me out and showed me how to do it the right way,not to mention all of you great folks on this forum that have shared all the tips and tricks of this great hobby of ours,THANKS GUYS!!!oh yeah and a very special thanks to Minelab for building a great machine! Good luck and happy hunting! Mole

wow! what a great experience! Thanks for sharing

Nice shiny copper pennies in there....... Different toning on each silver denomination..... No dirt anywhere on the jar...... No one looking at the camera or excited..... Spamming me on youtube with foul garbage for questioning.....

Nice find.... I hope you make the Minelab page for it..:sleepy:

How deep was that jar? It could've been 3 feet deep and the Etracwould find it...AWESOME find......NGE

first of all meathead the jar was an old peanut jar with a glass lid SEALED. second of all you just seem like a jelous idiot with no life other than following people from you tube to findmall to harrass and bash them. it must be that you cant afford a real metal detector or dont know how to use the one your daddy bought you from radio shack. please get a life or grow up and be happy for others that do good and quit harrassing people nobody really cares what you think anyway dumbnuts. oh by the way we were out sunday and found three barbers including a 1901 barber half we also found a bunch of wheats a few mercs and a rosie i guess the other guys planted those coins too. well hope that bigfoot finds you and makes you a happy man. this message is to burlbarks reply he's a real gem.
