Comparison of MXT with BigFoot and Whites 14" DD

I have the older Bigfoot for the 6.59 kHZ Whites Machines and really like it for coverage. Has anyone compared the MXT Bigfoot with the White's 14" DD. Its only about 4 inches shorter and I'm thinking it might be worth a try for cherry picking sports fields and parks.

Thanks for looking

Hi flash, The 6.59 bigfoot won,t work on the MXT. But if you want a good coil for trash, get the 5.3,or 6x10 dd, or 10" dd from Whites, they do a fantastic job in trash. The 14" coil is kinda big and heavy. Good Luck Flintstone

Assuming you get a Bigfoot for the MXT/DFX/M6 there really is no way to compare it with the 1400, they are two totally different coils for different uses. The 1400 is best used in low trash fields and relic hunting. Unless you already have the 1400, there are better coils for sports fields and parks. Although the Bigfoot is expensive for the MXT, if you do a lot of clad and jewelry hunting, it might be well worth the investment. ($300 to $500)

Thanks for the responses. I was kind of expecting that. I'm glad I still have my IDX for the BigFoot.

Also The 1400 is heavy, and will add weight to your MXT.
