After 9 months, finally found a Fat Indian with my ETrac. I ran some of my Fat Indians and Flying Eagles under the ETrac coil when I first got the machine. Had trouble believing the numbers I was getting - they were so far from the Explorer numbers for this coin type.
This weekend I had a somewhat consistent 24-25 conductive (ferrous was all over the place, including high 20's) on a target that was at the same 7 inch depth as an 1886 Indian I just found ten feet away. In many cases, these numbers are bullets or shotshells. But not this time - 1859 Fat Indian ! (sorry, no picture - my scanner is down)
Good luck to all!
