I found this today and just wondered what everyone thought. Its very soft, I could bend the "scoop" part of the spoon, or bend the handle easily. It does have a nice ring to it, and the etrac was reading silver. CO of 46-47 or so. Of course it could be plated but I dont want to damage it to find out.

Curious what my peers think. Whatever it is, it is. I just dont know.

I was under the impression that Sterling means .925 silver.........

correct me if I'm wrong guys...????

hmm. thanks guys, yeah its got to be about $12 worth of silver then, cool! Its just that I remember some other posts where some people said some "silver" spoons were just plated silver.

Sterling is .925 silver. There is no "sterling plated" that I've ever heard of. Congrats on a nice chunk of silver in good shape!
I have an old ring that is marked "sterling foil"......nge
