42 and a brisk 20+ m p h north wind when Chris and I started out this morning. One good thing about winter weather, it opens up some of our winter hunting grounds.
Over all, not a ton of targets, but Chris did manage a 21 Buffalo, 2 wheats and a 925 marked ear ring. I snuck up on a 1917 Merc, 1904 Barber dime, a 30 wheat, an R of some sort marked sterling and the heart throb junker ring. The Barber was near 8" and nestled on the side of a root. It looks like I kissed it working around the root. Had on the 11" coil.

You are gonna close strong again this year,
I fear the weather is not playing around this year though, it seems serious, windy and cold, just like Winter used to be...
We are in the mid 20's here this morning. We need a couple of good frosts, though, for bug, varmint and creepy crawler removal. Hope you still have a few hunting days left up there Mud. HH jim tn
Maybe later after the salt trucks get out.
