Copper Ball

Whelp, today's hunt didn't uncover much but there's still some uncovered ground in the field nearby the 1748 house. However one interesting find today was this big copper ball. It's a 1" diameter solid copper ball. It rang up 12 - 42 @ 4" deep and had a big THUNK! at the end of each sweep. I have no idea what it could have been used for. I don't think it was ammo because of it's location, but who knows? The dime is used for size reference.

I found one of those too! Noooo idea what it is. Found mine in the front yard of a 1900 house.

Nice pic Pete! Was wondering myself after our discussion. Hows may yards from the house and direction? Have a good week!
