Are these common finds for u guys? These finds were 9 to 6 inches deep on river banks. The spearhead type points were found 3 miles apart on a river bank in Wisconsin. The awl type point was found in upper Wis 300 miles north.
I went to the local library and they had nothing to help me with identification. I tried the internet and after a bit of searching i finally found the Copper Culture web site.
I was trying to find answers to questions like, How can i be sure if these artifacts are from native Americans or the white man, What specific style characteristics do i look for when determining the age of different implements. Were native Americans using copper implements 200 years ago? If not, then why did they stop using copper? Im hoping to date these finds.
Thanks, BK
